After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s #GivingTuesday – the official kick-off to the giving season!
On December 3rd, we are coming together as a global community for our seventh year of celebrating and championing causes to encourage the donation of time, resources, and talent to address local challenges.
Over the next 15 years, BC will face a 40% increase in cancer diagnosis. It will be relentless, but so will we. We won’t stop. This #GivingTuesday, we are challenging you to raise $100 before December 3rd and join us as we conquer cancer.
GIVING TUESDAY CHALLENGE
In honour of this global day of giving, we are challenging you to raise $100 before December 3rd. Together, the hard work and dedication of our Ride community makes a real impact for those affected by cancer in Canada.
DOLLARS AT WORK
Together, the hard work and dedication of our Ride community makes a real impact for those affected by cancer in BC. Funds raised through The Ride are put to immediate use. Innovations include:
- Clinical studies at BC Cancer that use a new method of radiation therapy called SABR which can deliver much more potent doses of treatments much more precisely while reducing the number of treatment times dramatically.
- Enabling BC Cancer to continue their ground-breaking work, including the world’s first research program that analyzes the complete DNA of a patient’s cancer to identify treatment options. Ride funds support this program which has helped more than a thousand patients.
- The support of breakthrough tests that BC Cancer’s researchers are developing to help prevent relapse for lymphoma patients.
Raise or self-donate at least $100 by December 3rd to receive a customized badge that will be showcased on your personal page for you to share your #GivingTuesday contributions with anyone who visits your page.
