The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer® presented by Evraz is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place on August 18-19, 2018 journeying over 200km through Alberta. The Ride is a bold endeavor to Conquer Cancer. Your contribution to the Ride to Conquer Cancer benefits the Alberta Cancer Foundation, supporting breakthrough cancer research, clinical trials, enhanced care and the discovery of new cancer therapies at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Cross Cancer Institute and 15 other centres across Alberta.

From taking part in the inspirational Opening Ceremonies at the Shane Homes YMCA, to setting out on your 200-kilometre journey to enjoying our overnight camp filled with delicious food, great music and wonderful company, The Ride is unlike any other cycling challenge. Friday
  • 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Bike Drop Off and Packet Pick Up Available
Saturday
  • 5:30 a.m. – Check-in services and breakfast available
  • 6:30 a.m. – All participants on-site
  • 7:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremonies begins
  • 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Camp festivities open to Riders, friends and family
  • 4:00 p.m. – 10-Year Rider toast at Camp, in the Alberta Cancer Foundation Tent, hosted by KPMG

This year, the 2019 Ride to Conquer Cancer has a brand new Start and Finish Line location. We are excited to announce that the Ride will be starting and finishing at the Shane Homes YMCA!

Bike Drop Off

Secured overnight Bike Parking will be available on Friday night the Shane Homes YMCA. Riders are encouraged to drop off their bicycles between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., to avoid the difficulty of arriving on Day One with both bike and luggage in tow.

Bike Drop Off

Secured overnight Bike Parking will be available on Friday night at Canada Olympic Park. Riders are encouraged to drop off their bicycles between 2:00pm and 7:00pm, to avoid the difficulty of arriving on Day One with both bike and luggage in tow.

Your packet will include the following items:

  • Bike Plates
  • Rider I.D. Wristband
  • Jersey
  • Luggage Tag

If you have complete Online Check-In by July 31, 2017, your packet will be mailed to you.

If you do not receive your packet in the mail, you will be able to pick up your packet at the following locations on Friday, August 11 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.:

Packet Pick-Up will also be available beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 12. It is strongly encouraged that you retrieve your packet before this date if possible.

Gear

Included in your packet you will receive luggage tag(s) to use for your gear. Please include your First Name, Last Name and Participant I.D. on this luggage tag.

Gear Drop Off will be available Friday and Saturday morning at the event. Our amazing Gear Crew Teams will be there to collect your gear and transport it to Camp for you. Gear Drop Locations are also available on-site for those participants taking a shuttle from the event host hotel.

Gear Drop Off will be open Sunday morning before you get back on the route. Once again, our amazing Gear Crew Teams will collect your gear and transport it to the Finish line for you

SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

Friday

  • Pick-Up Location: Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute: 11560 University Avenue (Parking Lot: Mewburn and Green Lot East Entrance into Cross Cancer. North and turn right after overflow parking lot).
    Red Deer Westerner Park: 4847A 19 St, Red Deer, AB T4R 2N7 (Parking lot in Southwest section directly north of gates).
  • Drop-Off Location: Buses leave Edmonton at 6:00 p.m. sharp. Buses arrive in Red Deer at approximately 7:30 p.m.
  • Departure Times: 1:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. – (The Shuttles will leave promptly at each time)
  • NOTE: The Friday Shuttles Will Only Run From Toronto To Niagara
    A shuttle bus and truck for your bikes will be waiting for you. Overnight parking will be available for the entire weekend. Please note that these Ride shuttle buses will take you directly to our Event Host Hotel, Marriott on the Falls. You MUST reserve your spot on this Friday evening shuttle during Online Check In (OCI). Only riders with their name on the roster will be guaranteed a seat on the shuttle; all other participants will be placed on standby.
  • Your bike will be handled safely by our Official Bike Transportation Partner, Mackie Group, and taken directly to the Start Line in Niagara Falls. It will be placed in our secure overnight bike parking area.
